Clean energy and energy efficiency are the very reason why Kyotherm exists. In the context of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investments, Kyotherm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy is in particular based on a strong commitment to fighting climate change and enhancing low-carbon energy solutions. In practice, this materialises through the identification of technologies and projects that have a major impact on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and through the measurement of this reduction linked with projects financed by Kyotherm.
As at August 2020, Kyotherm’s portfolio of projects in operation or under construction amounted to:
- 90 sites using low-carbon solutions
- 235 GWh/year of carbon-free energy
- 990,000 tons of CO2 emissions avoided over the projects’ lifetime
